This picture book follows a pattern that is fun to keep up with。 An old lady first swallows a chick and then keeps swallowing other materials such as straw， a basket， and a bow which end up making an easter basket。 The illustrations are funny and do a good job at showing what is happening on each page。 I enjoyed this book and think that kids will have a fun time with it when it is read aloud。 I would recommend this book for kindergarten through third grade。

This book series is such a good one！ I would read this book in my classroom。 It teaches students repetition and rhyming。 It has humor in it， which will keep the kids engaged。 It can also teach dictation with some of the words that are used。 The illustrations are beautifully done as well！
